I predicted a 50 point loss or gain for today. Maybe the market is similar to horseshoes.
Warren Buffet says now is the time to buy American stocks because they are valued at 70% to 80% of the GNP. According to Buffet, history has shown this to be a winning formula. Buffet certainly has the assets to gamble, the rest of us probably do not. The keyword is gamble.
So CNN is reporting the job loss data for the small business world. We've heard the monstrous numbers, most recently 15K going at Panasonic but we haven't heard much about small businesses although we know something is up.

It's going to get far worse before it gets better. The banks are pretty much insolvent at this pt. and the Gov't seems determined to save them even if it means allowing the blatant robbery going on in many of them. It seems a class of well dressed and educated bank robbers have taken over and have no intention of letting go. Success in their eyes is only measured by the toys they can extort out of whomever. This is the pay off for 30 yrs. of teaching selfishness and greed as a virtue.
I think Obama has put a finger on these guys, but its only the tip of the iceberg.
See how much of a bee hive nest he has shaken with this corporate pay stuff.
I would bet my last cent on the notion that somebody is contemplating paying big bucks to change Obama's status.
Yea, he'd better be careful these guys mean business. They have great gigs only made sweeter by all that Fed. cash. Just imagine the yucks they must get while smoking those big Havanas paid for by the rest of us. Then a dip in the pool, sex with todays date and then diner at the club...in Aruba.
