I think Drug Rush Limpdong should replace the Elephant as the new symbol of the retrograde Republican Party. The picture of him with the huge cigar in his mouth is perfect. Smug, arrogant full of himself, full of shit. America is buying anymore.

Well, they have decided on their strategy. First they are banking on all of Obama's efforts to restore some economic rationality, to fail. So with this they are being obstructionists calling him a socialist etc etc and like Limbaugh outright wishing that he fails. Second they are ginning up a fear filled scenario of the country overrun with gangs, KKK, Nazis, you name it.

So its a two pronged attack. Be a hindrance to progress and a progressive agenda, and then lay out a terrifying vision of calamity. These guys are real sweethearts.

What is obviously missing from this little Armageddon vision is also two things. First they caused it and they don't want to own it. Then they have no viable vision to correct anything except to return to the exact same things that caused the problems. So their idea of fixing it all returns to empowering the very wealthy, with a trickle up economy.

I think they are banking on Obama failing, reclaiming some semblance of power in 2010 and 2012, and then its back to neocon nightmare #3. First it was Reagan and Bush 1, then its was Bush 2, next up is Bobby Jindal as "Neocon 3, The Utter Destruction."

I agree. Their problem at present is the rest of us are still so bruised form 8 yrs. of BV$Hworld my guess it's going to be quite a while before anyone signs up for more of their variety of kool-aid. My worry is that these same creatures will do everything and anything to forestall any recovery since it's not in their interest. They no longer hold the political high ground this is true, but they still hold much of the economic high ground and will use this power to try and make his plan fail and fail badly. We'll see soon enough.
