Nikkei Opens Lower On Wednesday

It looks like its going to be a long week.

Obama is not getting much traction from Wall St.

How long can this go on. Eventually somebody has to yield.

Reuters: Nikkei down, credit worries weigh
"But ever since the market was disappointed by the U.S. bank plan, which seemed just to be putting things off, sentiment has become weak and the market has become sensitive to bad news."

Until confidence is restored the markets will fall. What will turn them around? Your guess is as good as anyone else's. I know this the present paths we've chosen will not sustain our economy. You can look at almost any area of the economy and this holds true. Med. - too expensive by a half... Energy- wasteful destructive and again only enriching a tiny group...manuf.- been sent lock stock and barrel to China etc...Farming - Corp. and again destructive to the land itself, it goes on and on and on like this. We need radical change in the way we live. Smaller energy efficient homes and cars are a nice start and tax the crap out of anything else made. Then the rest. Fix the environment starting with air and water. Stop burning COAL are they crazy this is like smoking for the earth. Stop dumping billion s of plastic bags into the ocean it's killing it. Obama has to step back and take the BIG look at this mess and decide. Are going to just tidy up around the edges of this disaster or really start to take steps to CHANGE? Today's bill although personally a wonderful gift for me isn't going to scratch the surface of what is rotten in this country. You notice he never mentions the real 800 pound GORILLA in the room does he? DEFENSE or is that OFFENSE and OFFENSIVE?

Yes, there is a tremendous amount of opposition to the changes that you are stating.

With medicine, a lot of the problem is that people themselves have to take charge of their own health. Many people could simply benefit by changing their diet and dropping the weight, exercising, diligently working to reduce stress, dedicating themselves to finding out that there is more to it than getting a big bank account etc etc et etc. - basically finding health and a healthful life.

I have a close relative in med school and they say over and over if people ate better, no smoking, little to no drinking etc then they would be healthier.

Medical science has been focused on emergency medicine. This is the result of the industrial revolution when all kinds of metal objects all of a sudden came at great speeds into the human body, like car crashes and air gun nails etc, etc. They have to refocus on prevention and health. Its not about a pill to make the boner reappear, its about a lifestyle that keeps the boner in decent shape.

OMG don't get me started here, I'll be preaching in no time.
