RNC Chair - No Reason To Trust Republicans

Rather than come up with any kind of viable plan to re-establish a crumbling economy, other than to drill more holes into the sinking ship via maintaining the failed policies of George Bush, Republicans have decided to label Obama's efforts as "socialism."

This is a new talking point and this is their new strategy? Thanks for nothing.

Republicans have yet to assimilate the totality of Bush's massive failures. They act as if they actually have good answers. Its a stunning thing to witness. Republicans are pointing to a mound of garbage and doing their damnedest to convince people that its a mound of gold.

All the while we have to endure their ever present talking heads on the MSM. We have to witness Republican senators making childish displays in the hallowed chambers of our government, literally peeing and pooping on the stimulus bill. Now that's trickle down.

This exchange is fascinating because if one carefully listens and evaluates the conversation, it makes virtually no sense. There isn't even a logical thread to it.

Tax cuts for the wealthy is their mantra and has been for a very long time. You see it works like this you cut the taxes of wealthy bankers and wall street hedge fund mgrs. and they wisely invest that tax cut and everyone elses tax cuts in whatever it is they do and then billions appear...from Gov't bail outs that are from the tax dollars of those other people that aren't wealthy! It's like magic wash, rinse and repeat. Make sense? To the GOP it does because it's not how you make the money that's important if your already rich. Now giving money to those other people from taxes is called socialism or stealing( same thing to a Repub.). Confused yet?

good one.

Pretty much sums it up. The GOP now has to wage a media campaign still based on fear and racism in order to build themselves up again. This is another cycle.

That's right. The bad part for all of us is the worse things now get the better it is for the hard right, since we now have the ball in our court. So, since DRVGRV$H and the rest of the bitter right wants Obama to fail and they re-call still hold most of the economic high ground , they'll do what all besieged nobles do to the peasants with pitch forks...dump flaming OIL and cannister shot onto the multitudes. This could get really really ugly going forward.

Obama is going to have to get better guys to do this then Tim and gang. Larry , Tim , Rubin they're all part of the problem and I hope Obama sees that sooner then later. He needs Krugman, Soros et al. in there to do what's necessary, not what's expedient.
