Nikkei Opens Higher On Wednesday

I am working to find out why tech stocks are considered to be early winners in an economic recovery. Is it as simple as people buying up computers, phones, cameras, and web hosting when the economy shows signs of life. Is it about how the government will pump money into state economies which will in turn buy the preceding list.

Regardless, the Nikkei is following Wall Street by showing early morning gains.

Reuters: Nikkei up as techs gain on hopes for econ upturn
Japan's Nikkei average rose 2.2 percent on Wednesday as TDK Corp and other tech shares gained on hopes they may be early winners from an economic upturn, though concern that such a recovery is distant capped gains.
