The Market On Thursday

Its looking like a stinker day in the market.

Yet the present volatility has continually yielded conflicting or contrary results by 4PM.

More data will hit the waves today on layoffs and major corporate profits. We know the results will be poor.

There is a bevy of activity with all kinds of reports on the economy. Buy American, or mostly buy American, or sort of buy American, or buy anything you ingrate, is big. The bottom of the housing market has allegedly been sighted, point your binoculars towards Russia to see for yourself.

Reuters: Index futures point to mostly lower Wall St open
Initial weekly jobless claims, due at 8:30 a.m. EST, are likely to show a slight fall of 3,000 to 585,000...(who knew 585,000 was slight)
