The Market On Tuesday

A series of economic reports are scheduled to come out today.

The news will be bleak but the serious and professional analyst will parse the data with a microscope seeking signs of life.

Allegedly the DOW is sticking in the 8,000s and the S&P in the 800s because of the promise of federal bailout schemes to come.

Meanwhile the fourth day of the endless Israeli - Palestinian War continues unabated. Calls for a cease fire are being rejected by Israel. The sense is that this newest war will continue with intensity and with harsh reprisals to come.

Reuters: Stock index futures point to rebound ahead of data
Stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Wall Street on Tuesday, reversing the previous session's dip, while investors braced for a reading of consumer confidence for insight on the extent of the damage from the economic downturn

The hope of the Obama bail-out working is all the markets have. The BV$H bank bail was just more trickle down heaped on the endless robbery that was the whole BV$H non-plan. That leaves printing money and then raising taxes on the wealthy as the Obama plan. It will be like trying to get the $$ back from Bernie Madoff. Good luck to us. You have to somewhat admire the blatant way the BV$hiviks here @ the end took what was left and had the gall to give it to themselves threatening to pull down the whole mess on top of the rest of us if they didn't get the cash. Then after getting it they go ahead and lay off record amounts of us. This is management with a twist ( of the hang men's rope ). The whole while they were doing this they had a sneer on their lips and snarl. Rabid dogs.
On the endless war against Terror ( the Israeli -Arab front) This is a balkans type affair u kill my Dad I kill you and your pets.etc.. It just gets uglier and uglier take a side and order up some popcorn and beer and pray they don't start blowing up the bleachers out here. Crazy humanity!

Bush just presided over an era of intense paranoia and depression. People seem to have forgotten how to be a little bit hopeful and how to initiate activity that benefits themselves.

We were so caught up in watching Bush wreck everything and we got paranoid with all of the Patriot Act and all of the surveillance, all of these things.

Its time to shed all of that and come out of hiding. Bush ran his presidency like he was a Marx Brother generalissimo presiding over a candy store of war and pillaging and it didn't matter who he pillaged, them or us.

The right has got nothing now, absolutely nothing. They are not even relevant.

Obama is bringing in a new generation, it could be an exciting time.

21 days!! It can't come fast enough. Were all so tired of this era of our history. It's clear in the last 40 yrs. a kind of dual narrative has developed. The Nixon,Regan,BV$H dark side and the Dem. side, less dark but still not Progressive in any real sense of what that has come to mean.
