Reuters: Poll shows McCain in 5-point lead over Obama
In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack Obama in the U.S. presidential race and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.
McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

I don't buy it.
After Bush won I can believe anything - but if you read that article over at Digby, Obama is so much more on top of the election, its unreal. He's back on tour and now it will heat up again.
Finish the job indeed. McCain will continue with the neocon agenda as they are part of his entourage - all war all the time.
He is very vocal about liking Roberts Alito Scalia and Thomas and will bring in 1 or 2 more Supremes in that vein. So there goes abortion, there goes the three branches of government AKA checks and balances, there goes any remaining semblance of the democratic republic we are supposed to be.
He will continue with the privatization of what the hell is left - roads, parks, prisons, schools, all of it.
He will probalby work to throw out SSI except he is going to be facing a deeply entrenched democratic senate and congress. So at least we will have that.
He will crank up Iraq, Iran, Russia you name it.
You have to consider what does it actually mean to be a US citizen when all this stuff is going on.
Why oh why are so many so fucking stupid? It's really sad that people don't get what McCain and the GOP is about. For the life of me at this pt. I don't get it? It appears that a great number of people just cannot figure out what is in their own best interest anymore and thats scary!
