AIDS in America

At one point I worked in a hospice. I witnessed several people die from AIDS. These people experienced unbelievable suffering - a total withering away of the body and degradation to all bodily functions. Eventually they become too weak to move and the final dying process plays out. AIDS is a big deal. Its somewhat out of the news and that's a mistake.

Reuters: New report raises U.S. AIDS rate 40 percent
At least 56,000 people become infected with the AIDS virus every year in the United States -- 40 percent more than previous estimates, according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
