US Tax Dollars at Work in Iraq


From the NYT: Nonstop Theft and Bribery Stagger Iraq
One government worker, who goes by the name Abu Muhammad, said a senior administrator at the ministry where he worked recently sold off computers, laser printers, office furniture and other supplies that appeared to have been paid for with American aid. The official was never caught or prosecuted, he said.
Fortunately there isn't a tax and spend Democrat liberal in the high office to bilk Americans out of their hard earned money and thereby create waste, incompetence, and corruption. Americans are not ready for that kind of change.

The Iraqis have an ethical standard to uphold. The paradigm is the Bush Administration. By all accounts they are modeling themselves in that clear light admirably.
