What is the USA's oil usage per day?

20,730,000 bbl/day Source

More than half of the USA's oil used per day is imported. 1994 was the telling year. From that point on, the USA imported more than half the oil it uses.

Its a friggin disgrace. People in this country are morons for selecting an OIL monarch. Now they have $3 a gal. gas and going up and are more addicted to imported OIL then ever. The real marker though for how corrupt this country has become is the billions in subsidies we all shell out to these same companies even though they are among the top ten of the Fortune 500. PLus, because of these same bastards subsides for the fledgling wind, solar , bio-mass and other alt. energy sources and companies is being CUT! This is all happening mind you with the Demos. now in control of the Congress !!

This is something I very much want to learn about - subsidizing an oil company!! What a joke except its too painful.

Stupidity is king. Its the short good money versus the long haul and the welfare of the rest of us. Disgrace it is.
