Iraq to Iran

When you read articles like this over time, there is the assumed understanding that where there is smoke there is fire. You take the information with a grain of salt and in the era of the Bush administration one means ten or one hundred.

From the Seattle Times: U.S. boosts presence along Iranian border
Located four miles from the Iranian border near the Iraqi town of Badrah, Patrol Base Shocker has been home to 240 soldiers and contractors, including 55 U.S. troops, a handful of Department of Homeland Security officers and a contingent of soldiers from the Eastern European nation of Georgia since the base became operational in mid-November.

Containing Iran "is now clearly part of our mission," Lynch said in an interview during a tour of the base. "Our mission here [in Iraq] is threefold: It's Sunni extremists, Shiite extremists and Iranian influence."

Do you remember how Hitler started WW2? Go back if u can and read the history if u don't. He carefully designed a phony attack on German border guards by the SS in Polish uniforms. If BV$H wants war with Iran he'll find a way before next fall to start one. Nothing and no one will stop this gang. They have goals and to their credit they doggedly pursue them no matter what! I only wish we had such determined leaders. Instead, we have a bunch of corrupt jellyfish who can't get out of their own way. Pathetic!

Right now I don't think bush has got the support he needs to start a war in Iran. He did with Iraq, 70% of the country was behind him because of the 9-11 phoney links that the 30 percenters still believe.

He has a lot of opposition in the military, the press, and the politicians, plus people are jumping off the bush wagon every day. Republicans are not doing well with raising money for elections that's why Trent Lott got out. The writing on the wall is really awful for Republicans.

I think Bush is finished. Nobody even listens to him anymore excepting a small minority. The thing I want to see is bush held accountable for his massive assault on democracy - horrible horrible period in American history, disgraceful.
