Radioactive Head

Bush says nuclear energy 'best' for greenhouse gases
US President George W. Bush said Thursday that nuclear power represents the "best solution" to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and stressed he was serious about fighting climate change.

Bush said he told Nobel peace laureate and former vice president Al Gore that he takes the issue of greenhouse emissions "seriously" and that his administration was "developing a strategy that will deal with it."
This is an utter outrage, the sort that only this particularly unqualified president so frequently makes.

Nukes are if the not the worst source for power then lets say a smidge away from being the worst.

Where does one start when listing the reasons why nuclear power is so bad.

They pose intense health risks for all those living near them. They occasionally melt down and splatter nuclear particles over vast areas of continents. There is no decent way to manage the residue of the spent fuel. People are even concerned when the residue passes through their communities on the way to some dubious dumping ground. Nobody wants the dumping ground near them as the residue is radioactive for ages to come. Nobody wants one of these things in their community. The list is endless, nukes are a dinosaur, a mess.

What is this president thinking? Can only be one thing, its going to transfer wealth from the middle classes to a few of the rich.

This is a given. How are we all going to survive another 13 mos. of this asshole is the question now? What BS will he get us involved in this last yr. of his reign? God only knows. The really scary part is knowing that upwards of 40% of the electorate still don't understand how friggin evil these last 7 yrs. have been. They never will. My guess is most of them will find some way to blame Bill Clintoon for whats going to follow these awful yrs. As is usual with the Reptile game plan the next Pres. almost for sure a Demoweakling will get the check for the looting of the last 8 yrs.

This is ridiculous, equating Nukes to green energy. This is a deliberate back stab to Gore and it all reeks of Cheney.

It is green energy. That green glow though is what your radiation badge gives off after you've had your dose for the day.

hehe Truth is somebody over there thought the same thing.

Yep , once thing I've noticed about them is they have a mocking sense of humor don't they? Do u remember how Limbaugh mocked and laughed at Michael J. Fox. They love to make fun of the sick and the weak and the poor it makes them feel big. All it does really is show how small they are and how shrunken their souls have become.

Yes indeed. Its part of the authoritarian personality. John Dean wrote about it and got some traction with it about a year ago I think.

They use propaganda to make the weak look like this incredibly powerful thing then go in and kill it - Iraq, torture, democracy, poor people - Newt Gingrich with single black women, Katrina, dissent.

These people have a real big chip on their shoulders.

You notice that all of their targets are easy pickings. They don't try and confront real power do they?
