Is it just a coincidence? The Terror Defense Security sector would say yes. They'd say we need to spend much more to stop terror.
As she pointed out, when we do that, the opposite result has occurred, it's created more terrorism. That's the GOP/hawkish side of America speaking through a different agency. It's the same as the NRA - the only way to stop mass shootings is to get everyone armed - put guns in churches, schools, psychiatric centers, etc etc. And what do we get - an alarming rise is shootings, even toddlers now are in on the act, with Toddlers shooting people. The coincidence is called job security, fraternalism, and self justification, along with good benefits and retirement accounts - and by the way on your dime and my dime.
