In February, Harvard researchers published an explosive paper in Geophysical Research Letters. Using satellite data and ground observations, they concluded that the nation as a whole is leaking methane in massive quantities. Between 2002 and 2014, the data showed that US methane emissions increased by more than 30 percent, accounting for 30 to 60 percent of an enormous spike in methane in the entire planet’s atmosphere.

If you smell something rotting it's America, but it's all good because were told by burning METHANE ( Natural Gas) were putting less CO2 up there right? Wrong, in 12 yrs. all that stinky Methane ( AkA Natural LOL GAS) will degrade into CO2. However, in the mean time the METHANE ( CH4) leaking from all of the Nat. Gas infrastructure, (much of it extremely old) is a SUPER GREENHOUSE GAS that has 64 X the heat trapping effect of CO2. Understand , no matter who wins this fall nothing is going to stop this. It's pretty obvious that all the talk about fighting AGW ( AKA Global warming) is just BULLSHIT ( which when dried and burned and used as an energy product is ironically carbon Neutral.)
Well there's plenty of bullshit out there to go around. Well look at it this way - America can't yet wrap its mind around CO2, you're just wanting people to think a little bit deeper and harder about something called methane, and you know what - that's just too hard. Our weak little brains can't handle it and besides - it's clean energy. I mean if you hear something enough times, it must be true.
