This Old Broken House

We worked on section 2 of 3 in the kitchen renovation today.

Most renovation work is pretty straight forward. This is not. We have to go far deeper into the structure of the house to revive it. We are removing material right down to and including parts of the foundation. Today we turned the corner and began the process of adding new groovy material and so far so good.

The humidity level dropped today and we were only normally exhausted rather than exhausted to the core and beyond.

Hopefully by sometime this week section 2 will be reframed with new CDx on the exterior all ready for wiring and finishing.

Ah yes, the old house reno how well I know it. Just finished putting on a new roof ( shingles) and unbelievably the Ins. company paid for it!

Yes, wind damage from the big storm down here back in early March. Didn't think the Ins. Co. would pay though cause the roof was old. You just never know.
