That isn't totally true. Take a look at the group that is 50 or older that is unemployed. Doesn't matter how educated u are after 50. Nobody wants to hire old people.

I know that too, my sister is facing the same problem, agism. Its a matter of the education and how it fits into the machine. I have a neighbor in his late 60's who can pick up work almost anytime - the reason is he's a lawyer. The elite educations still command the jobs.

Yes, I agree! I'd start a new business but what? Nobody has any $$ , except to pay their bills if that. Leaves nothing for anything else. The victory of Corporatism. Were all just trying to stay a float. It's Mr. JP Morgan's ( the banker)dream come true. He hated the New Deal and FDR, said it would destroy the thrifty working class. Of course he meant it would lower the number of starving peons and that would never do. Well he won and we lost, didn't we? The Class War the Reich wing always moans about was the one THEY waged these last 30 yrs. against the rest of us and won. Now they're even pushing to cut SS and Medicare. You know it makes us lazy, so we need to get out here and ...... Not there problem. As Herr Goebbels once said about the Slavs and it's applicable to the rest of us today. He only wanted them educated enough so they could read enough German to be able to read their road signs, so they didn't get run over by their tanks heading East. In our case just substitute English for German and Mercedes for Tanks and u get the picture.
