CBS6: Plan calls for mass killings of NY geese
...trim the state's goose population to 85,000, down from an estimated 250,000.
The plan was developed after Canada geese disabled a US Airways jet, forcing it to ditch in the Hudson River.

I have the urge to show up at the airport with some hardware cloth. Can't jet engines be designed to co-exist with geese?
Apparently not, or at least not so far.
This seems rather extreme to me. Killing off the geese population. I wonder who the source of the idea is and then who took it and ran with it.
So typical. Killing is the 1st thought. What it shows me is that we lack imagination.
