On Deceit

"God is not averse to deceit in a holy cause." - Aeschylus (note - The fundamental problem is who decides what is holy and more often than not the deciders are a slew of less than holy individuals. This logic has been used for centuries to justify atrocity after atrocity and has significant resonance right now.)

"The people wish to be deceived; let them be deceived." - Cardinal Carlo Carafa

"Hateful to me as are the gates of hell, Is he who, hiding one thing in his heart, Utters another. " - Homer

"Where the lion's skin falls short it must be eked out with the fox's." - Lysander
