Killing The Well

Crews are back on the site of the Gulf oil leak. They are resuming "permanently" killing the well. The tropical storm that forced crews away for three days did not create the mayhem people anticipated. I am reading that some believe that the effect that the storm had by boiling the waters will help the oil to naturally degrade. One can only hope for as much.

McClatchy: Work resumes on capping runaway Gulf of Mexico oil well
The mechanical cap that's been preventing oil from leaking into the Gulf for the past eight days remained in place.

It could take as much as a week before crews begin pumping in the mud and cement...

Let's pray they shut this beast down before Hurricane season really rears it's ugly head.
