Tanking Steele

Did you find Steele's comments on the Afghanistan war to be at least unusual.

I get the sense he was trying to capitalize on the country's lost patience with the military effort. That he was trying to gain political energy by siding with the country's discontent. Apparently you can only confuse the illiterate American public to a point.

The GOP can't let this guy remain, not at this point. He is supposed to bash Obama, that's his job. He got his shot in, but the context was completely ill conceived. It makes me think that he is plain old dumb. You need a little bit of savvy even to be the GOP's party chairperson.
