Earth Day is 40 today and the Earth is a bigger toilet then ever! Were destroying the Planet and ourselves IMO. Oh and were doing at a increasingly faster pace then 40 yrs. ago.

Unfortunately all signs to point exactly what you are saying. The only change that I see is that at least now there are some people trying to figure it out intently and the younger generation, or at least some of the younger generation are more behind it as a matter of course. I'll never forget when my daughter was a teenager and complained to me about not recycling the tin cans properly.

In Guilderland where I live, batteries are no longer taken for special handling. "Just throw them in the trash" they say. They will take rechargeable batteries.
