I believe its part of a larger Republican strategy. They have created at least two extra partisan outrage groups - tea baggers and birthers. The idea here is to maximize dissent and objection to Obama and the Democrats via the media. So instead of having one position on the news they can present it as if there is this huge uprising from many groups. All along it is of course simply the Republican Party. The birthers are Republicans, the baggers are Republicans, etc etc.

Yep, I think your right. The GOP is expert at these kinds of tactics. Phony protest is a Fox news special. On the other hand have you ever noticed how the MSM ignores any and all rallies on the left no matter how huge they are. The ten protesters on the right are blown up into this HUGE barking dog and then their objections are repeated endlessly on Fox, talk radio and the MSM till you think it's millions. It's like in the old War movies where the hero surrounds a huge army with five guys on hill tops and they run from one position to another making noise and firing a few shots and the army below thinks it's the one surrounded by a huge force and surrenders. It's all so contrived, but it works doesn't it? Sometimes.

Yes, I think it works perfectly for FOX especially. They can do a segment on Baggers, then one on Birthers, Then interview Mitch McConnel, then go directly to Sean. They are a scrawny bird that inflates itself twice its size to suggest overwhelming force.
