Obama Is Wrong Again

Obama got out of Illinois because he made a deal with the energy devil.

What great advancements have come along to make this energy safe. Why is nuclear energy now all of a sudden green.

After wiping out much of Eastern Europe and scaring the living bejeesus out of the entire state of Pennsylvania and surrounding states, do we really need more of these things.

Its the old adage, if you repeat the lie long enough and with conviction, people start accepting it as the truth.

We say B.S., nuclear power is not green and is not safe for the environment. In addition weren't there studies done that show that it is not cheap either, that its in fact a give away Federally supported AKA tax dollar boondoggle...

Can we move on to the real deal yet. That would be solar, wind, geothermal, ocean wave, and severe conservation.

Obama falls flat again.

McClatchy: Lobbying, global warming portend U.S. nuclear renaissance
The Obama administration soon may guarantee as much as $18.5 billion in loans to build new nuclear reactors to generate electricity...

"We don't believe that nuclear energy is the answer, but as you look at needs for clean energy and the need to protect the environment (SIC), there isn't a solution without nuclear..."

More short term thinking. Makes GE happy and thats one of his biggest backers Baron Buffet Lord of GE and of the rail roads which will make a pile of $$ transporting all the endless shit needed to build and maintain these beasts. The Nukes also make the Unions happy because they take years and lots of steel and concrete and electrical workers busy. Its all about jobs here dude. Obama needs jobs and soon or he's toast. Ok, so it leaves a deadly legacy , he figs. Am I going to be around here in 10K? NOT!

OK, I don't mind the occasional rant. I send them off sometimes, too.

Now that you've done that, look for some real information on this subject. There are many good starting places, but one is The Case for Nuclear Energy. It includes reputable sources if you want greater depth.
