Condi Rice Praises Obama Victory

I would bet that Condi Rice voted for Obama. She is continuing to offer praise and congratulations for his victory.

The question remains, where has her conscience been over the past 8 years.

World Net Daily: Condi Rice praises Obama's election as 'a good thing' - 'I think the time comes … for new people and new ideas'
"[For] a girl like me who grew up in segregated Birmingham, Alabama, to now elect an African-American president is an extraordinary matter," Rice declared, "and it says to the world that differences can be overcome and in a world in which different is still a license to kill; that is an awfully important message."

It worries me that people like Powell and Rice go for Obama because he's an African-American, not because of his politics and personal character. I deduct their approval as nothing more then racial pride. They both had little in the way of integrity when faced with the evil of the BV$H era. It was always career first ethics and morals second. Neither will ever totally escape their association with this regime. If I were Obama I'd keep these two @ an arms length.

You make an interesting point. I look at Obama and I simply see the superior candidate, color is not important to me.

Condi Rice - I just don't get her at all.

I hate to rain on a lot of Lefty parades here, but Rice gave several signals during the campaign that she remained a Republican. When one interviewer indicated that she was a McCain supporter, she did not bother to deny it.

However, the fact that Obama was elected, in large measure with white votes, is something that she can be proud of. The woman lived through the last stages of Jim Crow, and can justifiably be proud of what she has seen.

She hasn't stopped being a Conservative Republican. There's no reason she would want to serve in an Obama Administration.

I don't believe she would serve in or be asked to serve in an Obama administration.

She is clearly a conservative Republican. However, we know that what politicians say publicly and what they actually do are inconsistent. When we get into their own personal private lives then its anything goes. Most of the time we don't want to know about it either.

Rice could not possibly publicly admit that she would vote for Obama. She is Bush's hand picked protege of sorts. Her unwillingness to deny her support for McCain may or may not mean that MCCain had her support.

So I disagree. The statement is a little too lavishing of praise on Obama and she has repeated it as well, especially coming from a conservative. That is actually the primary reason why I suspect she voted for Obama.

Either way it is a moot point. Its just conjecture. When she's 80 she will write a bio and lay it out for real.
