I don't quite understand this move. Gates however is less connected to the neo's then u think. He's part of the Powell,Poppy BV$H , Baker gang pro-Saudi faction. I suspect that O has too much on his plate right now with the economy too make radical changes @ Defense. My guess is he'll task Gates to switch the war too Afghanistan and away from Iraq. Pakistan is really the center of all this trouble right now. Plus, he needs to deal with the Russians and the Chinese as well, that's where Hillary and Bill will come in is my guess? He has to hit the ground running in less then 2 mos. with so much going on he seems to be trying to delegate. Gates is already got a handle on @ defense and he held the neos @ bay when they instituted on attacking Iran last summer.

I have to add it to my list. My light research has been weak lately. We are moving and I'm consumed with mortgages and all that stuff. Actually got a nice deal I was shocked on a low mortgage rate - fixed.
