Absence Is Golden

Its another curious day in the live minds of Republican operatives.

Cheney endorses McCain, and Bush goes into deep cover in order to avoid any connection with McCain.

First off, exactly when did Cheney not become a political liability. If Bush is the worst president ever, and he is, that makes Cheney about half that lowly stature.

Bush can't publicly make endorsements, but Cheney can. Call it Republican elites once again showing their keenest contempt for Americans and America.

Hey, I don't see George Bush, he must be gone.

When my daughter was at a particular age, I think 10 months old or so, there was mention of an idea. The idea was that if you were not there in her visible proximity, then in her mind and at that age, 10 months, that you didn't exist - literally out of sight, out of mind. This is how these people think about the American public.

NY Times: A Presidential Vanishing Act, by Design
“One of McCain’s biggest challenges has been how to deal with Bush, and he never quite got it right,” said Scott Reed, a Republican strategist who ran Bob Dole’s 1996 presidential campaign. “Now, the best thing is silence.”
