The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 59 degrees and cloudy here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts rain and temperatures around 70 degrees this afternoon. The long range forecast shows rain right through Thursday. It's the summer of rain.

At 9:15 a.m. ET DOW futures are -21 and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open modestly lower.

Big week on the political front, as usual, as we learn more about Trump-Russia on Wednesday and Thursday. We look forward to Comey's testimony on Thursday. I suspect it will be both damning and reserved. There will be enough information to wet our suspicions but not enough to bring down the hammer. I could be wrong.
