Extraordinary claims require Extraordinary proof and these kinds of claims sit at near the top of the list of extraordinary claims, so I always take every last one of these kinds of headlines in that vein.
They are lumping aliens as one of several possible explanations. I think that's cool because the scientists are open about it. As I learn more and more about the enormity of the universe, there's life out there, has to be.
Life is probably ubiquitous, intelligent life, however, is another thing entirely. Even if it exists what are the odds any aliens live nearby?
Good question. Still it's one I do like to ponder. I've been watching all the films I can find on the Universe lately, I've found a new passion. I keep imaging a course, something like - Science for people with little to no background who want to learn about the universe.
