A Fender guitar made in Mexico is a MIM, Made in Maexico. MIM guitars are less expensive than American made Fender guitars. American made Fender guitars are the most expensive in the company's line up. If you watch the film you will be seeing Fender guitars being made in America in 1959. Pay attention to who is working on the guitars. Turns out that even the original Fender guitars made in the 1950s, guitars that cost a fortune right now if you could even find one let alone afford it, were made in part by Mexican people.
