Trump is claiming he is not taking any $$ from the 1% because he's his own 1% and self financed. It's the GOP version of Sanders with one BIG difference of course TRUMP doesn't want your money only your vote to make him KING and then he can say NOBODY including the voters own me. Plus the other BIG difference is TRUMP openly says his whole campaign is built on HIM and it's all about HIM and his divine right to rule. Donald is the 21st version of LOUIS the 14th ( the French Sun King.) Sanders is running as the opposite and telling his crowds this is about YOU and whether you want your democracy back any time soon, or not. TRUMP is for Autocracy and Sanders DEMOCRACY. Clinton is a third choice and that's for PLUTOCRACY ( rule by the collective 1%.) She says, vote for the status quo and a third Obama term.

I tend to think of the modern politician as having two legs, first is social policy and second is everything else ranging from foreign policy to corporate influence to trade agreements. Clearly the two are linked at the hip. Still you have many people who vote exclusively on social policy for example white supremacists who vote Republican because they hate blacks, gays, Latinos, Muslims, and let's be frank, Jewish people too. Trump has the hating element of the electorate pretty sowed up as this poll indicates. I don't think these people see beyond that hatred though. Sanders and Clinton are probably similar on social policy with a few tweaks here and there. It is Sanders economic policy that is quite brilliant and outstanding. The problem is America moves very slowly in the direction of progressive social change and progressive economic policy. It moves quickly in the direction of regressive social change and regressive economic policy.

Yes, it moves backwards at break neck speed doesn't it. Forward though only comes with huge effort and many times with lots of blood spilled. It's really a simple equation money and power get what they want most of the time. Every once in a while though the people triumph and things move forward for everyone. Look at it from the position of the elites though. Things are great for them so why change anything?
