Rubio

The writer makes a few interesting points.

The Atlantic: Why Liberals Should Vote for Marco Rubio - Democrats must do everything they can to prevent Donald Trump’s nomination—like supporting the one man with a chance to beat him.

Wrong. We do not want Rubio as the nominee this fall. He is the ONLY (R) capable of beating Hillary. Better Trump or Cruz.

Rubio tells his crowd that if Trump wins the nomination, republicans will lose. Here is a nice rebuttal to the Atlantic piece:

I agree with Glenn in that Rubio probably looks better to America than Hillary, quite literally looks better - younger, handsome, etc etc. American voters are as we know, very poorly informed. I actually am interested in seeing what happens with Trump as the GOP nominee, worst case he wins the presidency and I get to move to Canada perhaps, best case he really rips up the GOP which is something the party needs to go through given it's long mired rotting away in muck.

(And, please, let us have no more handwringing from putative liberals like Peter Beinart, who thinks that it is a strategic move for liberals to vote for Young Marco Rubio in order to slow down He, Trump. First, Young Marco Rubio is a big bag of feathers whose economic plan is a pile of magic beans, and who has been programmed for the kind of neoconservative adventurism that Beinart once cheered in its Iraq iteration. And, second, if the current Republican Party is falling to smithereens, the only sensible and responsible move is for liberals to step back and watch it happen.)
