If you thought Indian Point nuke plant just north of NYC was bad enough, now they are going to build a high pressure gas pipeline right next to it. I shit you not.

Why? Because some gadzillionaire wants it to happen is why. No other reason is necessary.
If NYers knew what kind of threat was lurking very nearby, I think there would be a lot more people freaking and taking action. Surprisingly the resistance to Indian Point alone is nowhere. It's been there since the 60s and I used to live in that area and watched it getting built as a little kid. I actually used to swim in the Hudson River in the place where it now exists way back in the late 50s.
