Why is that? Well, its because they are being paid handsomely to ignore or even deny it. It comes under the heading of how could they be wrong when their so rich?
Rather depressing would you agree, that a cabal of politicians and business leaders in America, Canada, England, and Australia are pushing policies that are literally destroying the planet. And the elections and polarities in these countries which have been finely polished and tuned as in the USA over the last 150 years will keep them in power.
For the most part the PTB have made an end run around democracy when it comes to this issue. Sadly, gaming the system with cash and power doesn't change natural law. You either follow those laws or pay the piper. What we have here as the famous movie quote goes "is a failure to communicate."
