The Market On Friday

Good morning. It is 62 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. Looks like we are in for another glorious late Summer Day.

At 8:50 a.m. ET futures are modestly higher and the price of oil per barrel is up. The market is poised to open higher.

Where are we. We have a holiday weekend coming and often times investors leave on a positive note. Then we have Russian troops in the Ukraine and of course this is a mess with global economic implications beyond the human toll. And we have a remarkable run in the indexes through the month of August. Total it all up and I'm going with Russia Ukraine is a big problem dragging on the market, yet there is strong economic US news to potentially balance it out. Either way, the indexes remain extremely fluffy for the time being.
