The Market On Friday

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. It is another very cold and very bright sunny day here in Upstate NY. A while back I belonged to the local Scrabble Club. Yes there is such a thing and the people there are very sweet. I just remembered one game where my opening word was 'upstate.' My opponent challenged the word and lost. I got the extra 50 points because it is a BINGO, all seven letters. I ended up losing the game too.

At 8:30 a.m. futures are flat, the dollar is mixed, and oil is up.

One word for today - jobs. The all important government report is due out any second. Our daily fiscal fate is in those numbers.

Go nuts, and have a great weekend.

CNN: Stocks: Investors standing by for jobs report
"The Middle East is not going to derail the U.S. recovery. That's the realization..."

February's job report from the Labor Department is due at 8:30 a.m. ET, and will dominate trading and news headlines throughout the day.

Oil for April delivery gained 79 cents to $102.70 a barrel.
