Where's The Oil

The government report indicating that 75% of the oil leaked into the Gulf is now gone, seems somewhat optimistic in my opinion. Certainly I am no expert but the just wait a minute here now bell has gone off.

Already the narrative is building that deep water drilling is not so bad even when millions of barrels of oil are leaked. I mean just look 75% of the oil is already one. One notion supports the other a little too conveniently.

Fortunately the skeptics are out there, and they are also experts.

CS Monitor: Gulf oil spill not 'gone' -- close to half may still lurk in Gulf
But the "vast majority" includes dispersed oil. The summary released Wednesday does not make clear the rate at which bacteria are degrading that oil. Researchers are still trying to assess this process – especially in the deep ocean, where much of the remaining oil is thought to be.

The report notes that bacteria have been breaking down oil. Chemical dispersants and the atomizing effect of oil leaving the broken well pipe at high pressure have in effect chopped much of the oil into bite-sized pieces for the microbes.

Move along folks nothing to see here anymore. Oh and of course we @ BP don't owe anyone anything anymore either etc.. This is how it works these days, doesn't it? Wreck the GULF or the ECONOMY even and being that your one of the BIG PEOPLE AKA an INT'L CORP. with billions to spread around it's ok and you even get rewarded sometimes. Maybe, BP can now claim it saved the GULF and it needs a Fed. bail out to continue it's "good works". I'm sure OILBAMA could help out, it's the least he could do ( for a few million in campaign contributions).

I would have to agree. This report is completely put out there to support big oil. Its a travesty. I don't buy it one bit. Government and big oil are hand in hand, nothing new here.
