The Market On Friday

Welcome to the weekend. Another week just flew by and there's no slowing it down.

At 7:45 a.m. futures are up.

Before the market opens the government will release its revised reading of the second quarter GDP. It is expected to be lower than previous estimates. This alone could very well sink the market for the day. It all depends...

Bernanke gives a talk later today, and all investment ears will be on alert.

We are looking at bad economic data, and a real interest in getting a Republican House re-established in November. Things are not going to improve soon.

A revised reading on U.S. gross domestic product comes out before the market opens.

Later in the day, Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke is scheduled to speak at an annual meeting of central bankers in Jackson Hole, Wyo.
