Investors will be looking at data on new home sales before the bell rings this morning. The numbers are expected to have risen. Old house sales are down, new home sales are up. That's a curious figure, maybe people want smaller more efficient homes. One could only hope.
Regardless, the economy is in the doldrums and it seems like the trend for investors is to sell.

Reports on durable goods orders and new home sales are expected in the morning.
Oil futures for October delivery slipped 6 cents to $71.57 a barrel.
