Solar Do It Yourself

Clarian Power is designing solar panels that cost in the $600 range that can be up and running in allegedly one hour.

They are removing the high installation fees and making a product that anyone can install. However, even though it will play on people's desire to be green and responsible, energy wise, will it really be worth the investment?

Don't know, but let's check it out.

Great idea! if his product sells and catches on others will jump in start producing cheaper and better versions and then China will make them for $59.95 and away we'll all go equiping our houses on the outside with dozens of these placed all over the outer walls etc. Houses are going to get really interesting when these get cheap and easy to use. He's right the present way of doing Solar is way way to expensive. The same thing is true of electric and hybrid cars right now. they need to come way down in price and ease of use.

What I don't understand, at this point, is how the device is able to contain the electricity it generates within the house where it is connected. I don't understand how it syncs up with the main utility.

It could be that this is a moot point.
