Reuters: Jobless claims touch 9-month high
...yet another setback to the frail economic recovery.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 12,000 to a seasonally adjusted 500,000 in the week ended August 14, the highest since mid-November, the Labor Department said.

Glenn Beck and the rest of the Rt. wing howler monkeys though say all of us unemployed are just a bunch of lazy bums and we all need to go get a job or 3. Of course there aren't any, but maybe he means in China? Whatever, America is in the midst of a Depression and for those of us living it we don't appreciate the sanctimonious lectures coming from rich loud mouths on cable TV or rant radio.
