In the fervor to ban gay marriages, Texas has designed law that might have banned all marriages in the state.
You can't make this stuff up.
Just a few month ago the Texas governor was trumpeting breaking away from the union.
How many times have we seen this where the contempt comes back and bites one in the corn pone.

But the troublemaking phrase, as Radnofsky sees it, is Subsection B, which declares:
"This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage."
