Lagging indicator getting worse. 2010 will be even worse then 2009 is my guess. Recovery without job creation. What does that mean? It means that for those with jobs and $$ things are looking up and for the rest F*ck u loser! This is the America Ronald Ray-gun prayed daily for. A shining city on a hill ( Like RIO) surrounded with cardboard shanties of the impoverished masses. You know, just like So. America!

I would agree. The money and financial managers decided that they needed to absorb the wealth of several million US citizens. They also decided that several million more joining the ranks of the poor class, living anywhere from ghetto to shanty town to homeless street walker, was fine. They determined there was enough capital around to sustain an equilibrium. Also with China in ascendancy and with more and more of their investments in China and other sub-corporate emirates like Indonesia, Vietnam, and such, that this was where the money and growth potential is now. America is sucked dry as it were at least for the next few years minimum as our GDP stays at 1 or 2 % or zero or even reverts to reccssion.

Yeah we are fucked. The trick is to live elegantly and be happy with less, which is do-able. I hate big box stores and most of the Chinese stuff is shit anyhow, pure shit.

Here's one of the truths of America. The rich have more money and such but a lot of times it only means they have more of the same worthless shit.

As a carpenter I would use the same materials in some yuppies million dollar cottage as I would in some middle class or lower class house. Its just that the rich have much more of it, more 2x4s, more sheetrock, more tape, more plywood, more cell phones, more clothes.

This is still not the way to elegance in my opinion. Show me a poor person with an elegant mind and you are witnessing life at its fullest.

The thing the rich have we don't is security friend. I have a rich friend was VP of Mobil OIL he doesn't sweat his mortg. payments or his health bills or nothing. Corp. America has made him a retired Baron and he watches Fox news all day and believes what he sees. Were friends as long as we avoid politics.
