Quarterly Results

Six large corporations will be reporting quarterly results this coming week, GE, Intel, Johnson & Johnson, Citigroup, Sherwin-Williams, and CSX. Investors will be watching the data very closely to say the least.

A few insiders are optimistic that we've turned the corner and the economy is now strengthening or at least stabilizing. Many others are skeptical and see the markets sinking further after this rally runs its course.

It may very well be a bear market rally after all. Just a few months ago the S&P was up over 900, which at this point seems fantastic, as in a fantasy.

We might suspect that if the numbers are bad this coming week, then we tumble and go through another few months of losses, followed by maybe another bear market rally. A pattern is arising.
