The thing of it is, are banks actually trying to destroy the country? Does this really have to be this way and does the momentum of bad business practices have to continue unabated.
Its a cut the nose off to spite the face situation.

...7 percent of homeowners with mortgages were at least 30 days late on their loans in February, an increase of more than 50 percent from a year earlier.
He also said 39.8 percent of subprime borrowers were at least 30 days behind on their home mortgage loans, up 23.7 percent from last year.

Without jobs what do they expect? Without affordable health care what do they expect? 50% of the public or more faces ruination @ this juncture.
Its rough, there's no question about it. If the delinquencies are getting higher and higher then banks have to do something original to keep foreclosure at bay. Its like if GM is a dinosaur then banks are pre-amebic.
