Gaza is an ugly little war. Truth is most of the surrounding Arab states want Hamas crushed and are more afraid of what would happen if they continue to carry on as they have, then if Israel wipes them out. Egypt is at particular peril with this radical Islamic group running what amounts to a tiny province of Iran on it's border. The Iranian gun runners are using the Sinai desert and coast line as they're private territory and this area from many accounts on the ground is increasingly coming under Iranian control. So this war is much more complicated then meets the eye.

One thing to keep in mind is that the one country with the most resources to do any kind of espionage and any kind of trickery imaginable is US. So I know that whatever is going on, the US is aware of it, and that the reasoning and internal battles are far more complicated than what is commonly known.

Much of the world forgets that Shia Iran is no friend of the mostly Sunni Arab States that border it. This is a rivalry thousands of yrs. old. Hamas and Hezbollah are both armed and financed these days by Iran. Egypt and Jordan are U.S. Clients as is Israel. Lebanon and Syria are Iranian allies. The Saudis and the Gulf States are also on the Sunni side in this. None of these States can openly say they're silently cheering for Israel but that's the bigger picture. Do u see any of these States coming to Gaza and Hamas' aide? NOT!!
