E-Car Batteries

Science Daily: 1000 km range for e-cars thanks to a new battery concept
summary - You cannot get far today with electric cars. One reason is that the batteries require a lot of space. Scientists are stacking large cells on top of one another. This provides vehicles with more power. Initial tests in the laboratory have been positive. In the medium term, the project partners are striving to achieve a range of 1,000 kilometers for electric vehicles.

Lots of big advances on the materials and tech front with batteries. Will they ever reach the public is the BIG question?

IF big oil has its say, no. In time it will get out. On the other hand a few years back I was studying electronics at the community college, out of interest. One of the teachers was talking about a car that was powered by water.
