The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 46 degrees, mostly cloudy with a few rays of sunshine here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a cloudy day with temperatures in the low 50s this afternoon. I hope you had an excellent weekend, mine was interesting to be sure. The bottom has fallen out of the Trump campaign but good. The release of the ABC News poll on Saturday giving Clinton a 12 point advantage was the icing on the cake as it were. Never put too much confidence in one single poll is the the standard, but when added to other polls especially state polls tracking the electoral votes, Clinton has a brilliant advantage.

At 9:15 a.m. ET futures are moderately higher and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open moderately higher.

This ATT&T buy of Time Warner is the talk of the town. How will the merger affect our one note media world. Regardless, we are seeing the birth of a major media monopoly, a behemoth.
