The Market On Wednesday

Good morning. It is 29 degrees and lightly snowing here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The forecast is predicting that it goes up around 40 degrees this afternoon, gets very cold over the weekend, and then next week temperatures go back into the 30s and 40s. The New Hampshire primary turned out pretty much what we expected although Sanders really torched Clinton, and Kasich is the runner up for the R's. I am not a fan of Trump and I cannot fathom how anyone could possibly vote for him. I mean I've seen some pretty awful candidates emerge but not really anyone as bad as Trump. I'm trying to find out how many people turned up for the Dems and the GOPers, that number seems more salient although we do know that the Dems got 24 delegates while the GOPers got 23.

At 8:50 a.m. ET futures are moderately higher and the price of oil is up after dipping very low on fears of a more lengthy glut. The market is poised to open higher.

The morning is starting off with some recovery, who knows if it will hold. I suspect Janet Yellen's testimony will be a significant metric, and I also suspect there will not be another base interest rate hike given the present global market instability. But that's just a guess.
