I don't understand the rising water though. Why is it more pronounced in certain areas? In my mind I get the idea of the oceans of the world rising at the same rate which I have suspected to be very small little by little. Does the rising water, rise in some areas more than others? Is the island involved Shishmaref, is it in the way of melting Arctic water? Do you know how this works?
